Shrub to 3m having short phyllodes 2-6cm long with one prominent midvein. Seen as patches, sometimes as large as a hundred acres dotted across grazing country in southern and central Queensland. Inflorescences are globular. A later flowering wattle which produces ripened seed around early December in Queensland. A taxon with high potential in rehabilitation however fruiting is often adversley affected by dry Spring weather.
Widespread in eastern Australia from the Palmer R. area, north Qld, through N.S.W. to Wangaratta, Vic. (1)
